• Authentication data: Email addresses for login purposes (via magic link or password), handled through our authentication system.

• Usage information: Basic analytics collected for service operation and security (IP address, browser type, device information).

How We Use Your Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve our service.
• Authenticate your account and maintain your login session.
• Process and store your job application data as you direct.
• Generate PDF reports and statistics based on your data.
• Send you security updates and important service communications.

Cookies & Session Data

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication: a signed session cookie to maintain your logged-in state, and an optional "remember me" cookie (valid for 14 days) when you choose that option during login. These cookies are signed but not encrypted; their contents cannot be tampered with. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.

Data Storage & Security

• Your data is stored on secure servers.
• Passwords are hashed using a modern, industry-standard algorithm.
• Session tokens are stored server-side and linked to your account for revocation capability.
• We implement standard security measures including CSRF protection, secure headers, and HTTPS enforcement in production.

Data Retention

We retain your job application data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated personal data is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days. Session tokens are automatically invalidated upon logout or expiration (maximum 14 days).

Your Rights

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
• Correction: Update your profile and application details directly in the app.
• Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data via Account Settings.
• Export: Export your job applications as PDF reports through the application interface.

Third-Party Services

We may use the following third-party services:

• Google OAuth: For optional login via Google.
• Email delivery: Your email address may be transmitted to an email service provider for sending authentication links and notifications.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
